The *Ghetto Burger is a double cheeseburger with bacon, grilled onions, ketchup, mustard, and some chili on the bottom toasted bun.
Both buns are toasted, in case you might think I was saying this was a one bun toasting kinda place; it’s not. Lettuce & tomato can be part of the equation, but I chose not to taint my burger with filler.
The Ghetto Burger also comes cut in half, which I’m generally against, but this is one case where manageability is limited if you try to lug around that mastodon during consumption. After I finished my Ghetto Burger, I sat and tried to regain my bearings.

It’s a shame if you never got the full experience at Ann’s Snack Bar in Atlanta. Ms. Ann passed away a few years back, but her memory lives on. Back when she was still around, it was a pretty safe bet that if you acted up at Ann’s Snack Bar (1615 Memorial Drive), you would either be told to settle down or leave.

The Ghetto Burger comes with American cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, mustard & mayo. I take a bite, and it brings me back to my childhood.
I peel away the lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles after the first mouthful and eat the burger the same way Abuela would make me my burgers back in the day.
You can’t buy moments like these, and it makes me glad we decided to stop in.
Two Guys Ghetto Burger is a great homemade burger with no pretense. I wish there were more spots like this still around. And since there aren’t, it makes this find that much better.

Golly, I wish there was a burger joint in my area selling a ghetto burger. I will have to make my own and self-label it a Ghetto burger but will it be the same as having someone else create and label their Ghetto burger?

Ann’s Snack Bar, home of the “ghetto burger” that made local and national headlines for years, will not reopen.
Ann’s Snack Bar closed at the beginning of the pandemic and sat in limbo for more than two years. Now, the Memorial Drive building that housed the historic restaurant is for sale.
