The video dude likes it. I do too. My awesome Panasonic microwave with rotating tray cooked the critter in 11-minutes. I let it sit for 5-minutes as the directions told me.

My cheese was not over-cooked as bad as video dude’s was. There were a few chewy spots but that did not detract from enjoying the not-a-burrito.

Perhaps “casserole” would be a better term to apply to the Wal-Mart brand meal. I had a snack in the morning and when 8 PM arrived I was ready for my big daily meal. I planned on eating half and saving half but old habits die hard and I ate the whole thing. Burp.

The meat is a “slurry.” I envision low-grade dead cow being smashed and mashed along with beans and rice and sauce and whatever else finds it way into the mixing machine. Those of you missing teeth as I am will be able to eat this meal. I did not detect any spice “heat” but there was enough of whatever spices are in there to inform me this is a “Mexican-style” concoction created by Anglos in a corporate environment.

Video dude told of adding extras such as sour cream and other stuff. Good idea!!! Perhaps a buffet-type set-up with fresh diced tomatoes and peppers or whatever sounds good. Shredded lettuce would be yummy. With just a little bit of stirring the not-a-burrito could be used as a dip using sturdy chips of some type.

I saw and felt the rice that video dude stated was not present. Maybe the piece he grabbed was lacking and the rice was hiding in the corner or something. I did detect it but it is a small amount. If you have some Spanish rice that could be added after nuking the thing if you want more rice in your meal.

Another idea just wandered into my mind; have some big tortillas, either corn or flour type, and spoon some not-a-burrito onto the tortilla, roll it up, and munch on that.

Not-a-burrito can also be cooked in a conventional oven though it takes longer and in hot summer weather you pay extra for your meal by paying to run the air-conditioner more to counter the oven’s heat.

These folks gave not-a-burrito a D+ grade for the reasons they explain:

Next time I grab a box of not-a-burrito I will get the smaller size. I will wait awhile before eating this again due to the carbs. Perhaps every 5 to 6 months I will splurge and eat this edible easy-to-prepare casserole or whatever the hell it is.

Happy eating!!!
