Vintage Love Of Food And So Much More😁

Food lovers. Time for some serious fun and frolics. It is winter here in the northern hemisphere. It’s summer in the southern hemisphere but that’s okay, you can follow the link, also!!!  Since it’s winter here in the USA where this blog originates I am a northern hemispheric-centric, USA-centric, working-poor class-centric, male-centric, potato loving-centric and a bunch more centrics kind of guy.

Winter for me, unlike those strange folks in Minnesota who revel in wandering the woods at 60-below zero (I am Fahrenheit-centric, also) I remain indoors more ever-grateful to all those responsible for placing natural-gas-carrying pipes to my shack where the self-starting gas-burning heater keeps my domain at a comfortable 70-degrees or so. If I had to cut wood year-round to provide fuel for burning to produce heat I would surely be a thin, trim solidly-built hunk of man with babes hanging all over me… and then all the problems and miseries that would entail so… THANK YOU to all who ensure the shack’s heater keeps my aging carcass warm.

Okay…  winter!!! Stay inside and do inside things. Broadcast TV is mostly lame. Propaganda and drivel and disgusting output aimed at 6th-grade-level minds… even the adult content!!!!  If the Founders could see the quality of the modern adult citizen I wonder if they would call for the patriots of the land to revolt. I devote little time to TV staring. I see some biased news reporting and pay some attention to a few shows such as non-fiction fare on PBS and The Blacklist grabs my attention and re-runs of Dragnet are usually good for a few groans and a chuckle or two. I still think Laurie Partridge of the Partridge Family is among the loveliest lasses to ever appear on TV. However, the vast majority of TV fare is mere background noise as I place my attention upon Web content.

To assist my fellow travelers of the Web seeking relief from inanity and/or boredom I offer the link below leading to a fountain of food and food-related fare. At these Tumbler sites I typically view them after clicking on the “Archive” button. This shows the pictures in a tiled view with many smaller pics ready to be clicked on for viewing. When I click on the small pic it opens in a new window saving my browsing position on the original page. If you are familiar with the Tumbler site get going… have a food freakout!!! If Tumbler is new to you play around a bit to learn how things work. Individual pics often have a link back to the original site they started at. Following links back to their source can lead to other Tumbler “blogs” or outside-Tumbler locations offering additional content of interest. You can start your own Tumbler blog and copy items you like and place it in your own blog. This is done with a mere click on a pic… in the right spot. There’s a few other things but you folks can figure it out. Or, surely there are tutorials on the Web to explain it all to you. Seek and you shall find.

Happy Holiday Eating!!!! As of today, eight or nine days to Santa… depending upon his and your timetable.
