Return of 7-layer burrito or reasonable copy of the beloved incredible edible?

.

.

The 7-Layer Burrito was removed from Taco Bell’s menu in 2020. Supposedly, a reasonable facsimile of the 7-layor burrito can be had by ordering a cheesy bean and rice burrito that currently costs a mere $1 as of December 2022.

After ordering that burrito ask to have it “Fresco style” that results in a veggie only burrito. Then ask to add potatoes, lettuce and guacamole. To ensure the 7-layer burrito is attained I would ask for sour cream. I recall my 7-layer burritos of the past having sour cream but I may be wrong. I am not vegan and I like sour cream in my burritos so that is what I will order.

According to the linked-to article the $1 burrito with the extras added increases the price to $2.35, a small price to pay for a 7-layer burrito facsimile.

Taco Bell customers have a new hack for ordering a beloved discontinued menu item

.

At the Taco Bell Web site burrito ordering page I see a Fiesta Veggie Burrito for $2.00. Looking at the picture I see rice, beans, cheese, tomato, guacamole and sour cream. Maybe that’s the new “7-layer burrito” or a close copy. I will have to enter, buy and try one. I haven’t been inside a Taco bell for a long time. Ending their 7-layer burrito filled me with anger and some disgust and I boycotted that firm in near-totality. A couple years ago I visited the Bell to see if the beloved 7-layer burrito had returned to meet customer demands but the evil higher-ups of corporate Taco Bell despises their customers and left us abandoned and forlorn. BAH!!!!

But, since I was there I ordered a few different taco and burrito types and was dissatisfied with those. Blah. It is 7-layer burrito or nothing!!! However, maybe that Fiesta Veggie burrito will sate my burrito lust. In the near future I will try it and report back and review the critter.

At the Taco Bell Web site I see an option to customize their items. Time to go back and see what I can do with the Fiesta Veggie Burrito.

Damn!!! I can not link to the pop-up window that appears when “customize” is clicked but several options to delete or add items exists. The cost for adding items is shown. The Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito also has an add and delete list similar to the Fiesta burrito. Between the two it appears that a close-enough copy of the defunct 7-layer burrito can be created.

A visit to Taco Bell will occur soon. I sincerely hope for the best. I have truly missed the 7-layer burrito and will be greatly pleased if those wondrous incredible edible days at Taco Bell return.
