The Worst Fast Food Restaurants in America, Ranked

“Fast food is quick, convenient and cheap, but it’s also losing its edge. Consumers are interested in high quality and fresh food, cleanliness and great service. However, many fast food chains are struggling to meet their customer’s standards. As a result, guests don’t return.

A Consumer Picks survey found consumer scores of America’s popular restaurants. The scores are based on customer loyalty to the brand.Read on to find out the worst fast food restaurants in America and why they’ve failed their customers.”

A down-and-dirty rating/ranking. Hard-hitting. Surely making high-ranking corporate folks growling in anger. Too bad. I love reading about the bad and the ugly. The good is boring!!!

Okay, this “article” is one of those one page per review then click to get to the next one but the reviews are short and sweet and the pics are big and clear and the pages loaded fast for me. The article starts with the highest of the low and works its way down or is it up to Number 1 which i the worst of the bad.

Some of the places I never ate at. Some are regional and are not in every state. Jack-in-the-Box was one of my go-to places in the 1970s and 1980s in California because they had reasonably decent BIG burgers at a good price with HUGE shakes. Back before prices began to soar and offerings shrank to minute portions. My present shack location perched atop the wilds of the critter-ridden Ozark Plateau has no Jack-in-the-Boxes. No way am I moving back to California for a damn Jack-in-the-Box burger.

I agree with some of the negatives mentioned but other I disagree with. Tastes differ, And food quality does vary across space and time. I gave up on Arbys’ sliced-beef sandwich a couple years ago. Priced at the high-end of my personal price range it was a once-in-awhile treat. Until the  beef became so incredibly salted that it destroyed whatever enjoyment I used to have for the stuff. I wonder if excess salt was used to disguise lower-quality beef? Just a guess. I gave Arbys three chances. They failed each time. Too damn salty!!! Yuck!!!!

As for Taco Bell, around these here parts, y’all, their fare tends to be as good or even better than the independent “Mexican” food places that have high prices for mediocre fake “Mexican” food. Some of the independent joints are owned and operated by migrants who settled locally. Maybe they are lousy cooks to begin with or simply do not care and make no effort to offer a superior product. Of course, I do not eat at many restaurants so there are plenty of places that may offer a superior meal that I do not know about.  However, the articles’ failure to mention the decent-tasting 7-layer burrito is a travesty. One of them will fill me up. Used to take two but elderliness is resulting in less food needed to fill the gullet.

Lots to look at. If you agree or disagree with anything jump down and leave a comment. All the cool kids are doing it. I get around to approving them eventually. This blog needs improvements on notifying me about comments needing approval. Maybe there is something I can do to activate a notification system but the old dog new tricks thing comes into play.
